Some Background

The Camrose Brother's Golf tournament started in 1989 with a little gathering at Black Bull, of five Camrose brothers.  They were the brothers Duggan, McLean, Lyseng, Berg and Shuman. Since then the event has grown to approximately 144 golfers each year, played as a two man scramble, with no damn rules.  The annual event will be held on the last Friday in August, not including the long weekend.

2013 rule change.  The rules restricting qualified brothers to have attended school in Camrose is now removed.  Instead, at least one of the brothers or step brothers must have resided in Camrose at some time.  This change allows all newly qualified brothers to win the coveted trophies.

Current we play in categories;

1.  The Al & Tiny Mittlestad Trophy for lowest low gross score regardless of age
2.  The John Froehler Memorial Seniors Trophy for low gross score for both brothers over 50 years
3.  The Pioneer Studebaker Classic Trophy for low gross score for multiple bothers  (3 or more)
4.  The not-so coveted trophy called the Reikie Trophy for the most gross score
5.  The Pat O'Riordan Super Seniors Trophy  for both brothers over 60 years
